An community-focused student government resource hub.

For this project, my team and I were partnering with Pepperdine University's student government association and designing a website that would inform and encourage students to take part in SGA and its functions.

Design requirements

  1. Homepage: Overview of what SGA is and their team.

  2. Services/Resources: A collection of relevant documents, hyperlinks that SGA supports.

  3. Initiatives: Past and present projects SGA is involved in, event calendar, and progress tracker so students can keep up with SGA activities.

  4. Contact us: Form where interested users can ask questions or provide feedback.

  5. Get involved: Centralized page of details about committee meetings, election processes, and other opportunities for fellow students to engage in.

Final deliverables

A fully designed and developed interactive website that professionally presents all provided details, following SGA's existing design system.

takeaways

Designing for information density.

Given the text-heavy nature of this informational site, I learned how to adapt designs to display dense content without creating cognitive overload. Through countless team discussions, we refined the information flow to prioritize intuitive navigations, helping users find what they need without feeling overwhelmed.
